Going into the wedding planning process, I wasn't even sure that we really "needed" a wedding planner -- I was a pretty easygoing bride who wasn't overly concerned with all the little details. Knowing what I know now, I can't imagine planning our big day without Misti's help!From vendors to food tastings and venue layout to decorations, Misti was professional, well organized and committed to helping my fiance and I put together our perfect event. From the beginning, she was on board with planning an unconventional and creative wedding that was very "us" while still helping us stay within our budget. She went above and beyond my expectations, always with patience and a smile. She was at times surrogate sister, stylist, personal assistant and therapist. The very few times I felt stressed in the planning, talking to Misti always turned that stress into excitement!

Last but not least, I truly felt like Misti cared about our wedding as much as we did. I'm so glad we DID decide to go with a wedding planner and even more thankful that we went with LBD!

I discovered Little Black Dress Events in Spring 2010 at a bridal vendor event. My fiancé and I hadn't considered using a wedding planner, but after seeing the display at the event we immediately signed up for our June 2011 wedding.

Misti Sims, of Little Black Dress Events, wasted no time creatively designing our dream wedding. She carefully considered important aspects of our lives in the ideas she presented to us. On her first try she assembled the perfect reception table setting, including linens, napkins and stemware that were an elegant nod to our college alumni colors. The tables were stunning in our reception hall, accompanied by the wall-to-wall linens, furniture and pillows she put together for us.

Misti's acute organizational skills were irreplaceable during the planning of our wedding. We spent 18 months planning with her, and never experienced a moment of panic or discomfort. We never had to wonder when the appropriate time was to get our engagement photos, mail our save-the-date cards and invitations or request our RSVPs. I loved my Monday morning messages from Misti telling me that it was time to discuss flowers, or that she had made a tasting appointment with our caterer.

Perhaps the most valuable service offered by Little Black Dress Events is wedding day coordination. My fiancé and I, and our families, woke up on our wedding day without a single worry. Our wedding day was storybook. We never once had to consider logistics, comfort of our guests or keeping to schedule. The Little Black Dress Events staff ushered our wedding party and families throughout the entire day as if we were royalty. Looking back, our wedding was the most flawless, perfect day we could have imagined. We could not have done it alone, and we will absolutely be using Little Black Dress Events for all of our future events.
